Visor

A person able to perceive the presence of spirits and see them; (noun)

Pronounciation: ˈwiː.sɔr

Etymology: from Latin videō “to see, look; watch, observe”+‎ -tor

Visor is one of the three designations used for a person with spirit awareness.

Visors can see spirits in their vicinity and can generally communicate with them at some level. Visors are more receptive to the visual aspects of spirits than auditory ones. Most can only hear whispering of the spirits voice, while others cannot hear any ethereal sounds. Very few Visors can clearly hear spirits and hold conversations with them.

The source of this proclivity for the visual is unknown, and sparked many debates. One theory is that the preference comes from the spirits themselves, who choose to put more energy into being seen because they cannot be certain that the Visor will be able to understand their language.
