Marcel is a shrunken head figurine, made in resin and hand painted and detailed for a perfectly unique (if macabre) personality. Marcel has dark brown shriveled looking skin and brightly colored stitches in his lips and eyes. He has bushy eyebrows and a lot of bushy hair that tends to stick in every direction. Honestly? He’s beyond caring about bad hair days.
Measurements (approx): 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.5” / 11.5 x 9 x 3.5cm
Main materials: resin, acrylic paints, wool, hemp cord
All my shrunken heads are completely handmade. The base is a resin cast I make using a silicon mold of my sculpted original. They are then each hand painted and detailed for a unique personality. You can see the process in this video:
