Parasitical Magic

The usage of another's magic to conjure a magical effect; (noun)

Pronounciation: pæɹ.əˈsɪt.ɪkəl mad͡ʒɪk

Etymology: parasite, from Ancient Greek παράσιτος (parásitos) + -al, an adjectival suffix + magic, from Ancient Greek μαγικός (magikós, “magical”).

Parasitical magic describes the conjuring of magic via another's magic. It is often used by non-magical beings in order to gain magical abilities, or by magical beings who wish to strengthen their natural abilities. Parasitical magic causes severe damage to the used magion, often resulting in death.

The practice of Parasitical magic is generally considered vile, and is one of the most loathed forms of magic. However, it is a well recorded practice in the history of magions, particularly among Magic-folk.
