Lyda Vrač

Human (magic-folk), 978-1062.

Witch and apothecary; known particularly for the development of the Venenum Vracis.

The Vrac̆ line famously domesticated Spectans canis already in the 8th century. Yet Lyda was the first who found how to safely extract the liquid form their poison-molars and create the concentrated extract known as Venenum Vracis (a.k.a. Vrac̆ Extract or VV). Venenum Vracis can be used as a strong sedative on its own, if diluted correctly. Over the years, it became a key ingratiating in many medicinal potions made by the Vrac̆.

Note: at this point in history, surnames were not generally used, however, the moniker “Vrac̆”, meaning “healer”, was used for early members of this family line, and later members did adopt it as a surname. Therefore, while not entirly accurate historically, the 'surname, given name' convention has been kept for early members of this line for convenience.
